The purpose of the Church is to present the gospel to the world. We look to the early chapters of Acts and Revelation 14 as models of how the work is to be completed. We look to the “latter rain” of the Holy Spirit to provide the power and the gifts to complete the work. Here is THE question: Will the Holy Spirit give gifts and power to those who will not use the talents they now hold? Each of us have some talent or talents. Each of us have talents and skills. Do we seek to improve those skills to Christian service?
When we learn to find and fill the common needs around us with the resources at hand, the Spirit can then be free to gift us with greater opportunities which can become the latter rain to us.
God has provided for our daily needs. Time, material and money are all useful resources in service. We need to give attention to the use of ALL our resources in God’s work. Give some thought and prayer to ways you can render service to God.
