Jeanette

Mrs. Pelton was born in West Virginia in the last century. She is active in her home church and was the Nation’s Mother for her tribe for several years. She lives on a mini farm with her husband, 7 alpaca, a flock of chickens, 4 Pomeranians, 5 Siamese cats, an Amazon parrot named Gizmo,12 canaries, a flock of button quail and lots of gardens. Jeanette is still wife to Dan after 47 years, mother of six adults, a grandmother of eight, a Clinically Licensed Independent Social Worker in private practice, a retired adjunct professor of social work and an avid reader. Jeanette loves to sing.
She and her husband lead a small house church in which they serve their community as they find felt needs to fulfill. Jeanette is an author as well, with over 30 books and 400 published articles to her credit: her pen name is J. Traveler Pelton. Her books range from the spiritual (which are the result of blending counseling with spirituality and the felt needs of the people she has worked with about their walk of faith and the pitfalls along the way) to fictional. Her fiction ranges from historical fiction, to sci-fi to fantasy and cozy mysteries!

Dan

Dan Pelton was born in Vermont in the last century and has spent a lifetime studying God, machines and nature. He is a genetically wired, rather broadly interdisciplinary, technician; the sort who assemble the designs and are crucial in testing and troubleshooting to bring an engineer’s dream to reality. He tends to discover questions and deliberately gnaw on them toward satisfying answers. This has served him well for 40+ years of service in equipment repair, research and development.
Married to J. Traveler Pelton, parent of six, grandfather of eight, retired to hard labor rehabbing an old farmhouse, he lives on a mini farm with alpacas, inventions, barn cats, and is part of the leadership of a home church. While he mucks barns, he wrestles with turning theology into a form that is palatable, sensible, and true. He has written a book and is writing another on his experiences with God.
Fawn Spencer

Fawn is the oldest child of Dan and Jeanette. She takes after both parents and has graduate degrees in counseling and ministry. She has worked in mental health in various capacities since she was twenty, and now works with Jeanette in her private practice. She has been married to Scott for over twenty years and lives in a small house with him and their various feathered and furred children. She enjoys all kinds of fiber arts; her fabric and yarn vie with his movies and outdoor equipment for space. They both love books; she and Scott have so many books that they’ve had to remodel their garage into a library to hold them all.
Fawn spends time reading, studying, and working at various fiber crafts. She has written a couple of nonfiction books for fun and practicality. (Example: putting all her favorite recipes together so she only has one cookbook in the kitchen and the stack can go back on the shelves and she can get rid of many little scraps of paper with recipes scrawled on them. The problem is that she is starting to re-accumulate more scraps of paper with new favorite recipes…) She has a website about writing, editing, and her crafts and interests at www.writeuseful.com.
